More disappointment from what i thought was the best bet for the Opposition this coming GE. The timing could not be worse and the character assassinations of Secretary General Kenneth Jeyaretnam (both direct and indirect) even though come off as half assed and immature, definitely cannot be discounted.

It is just the sad testament that Singapore Politics is still Personality based rather than Policy Based. Image and Stance weigh much more then merit and character. Personally KJ had appealed to me since stepping into the Politcal Scene. Here is someone who doesn't bother with trying to associate with the common man and the ground artificially (Reference LSL "Mee Siam Mai Ham"). He has got the education and background in economics and believes that the Economic stance of the PAP Govt has led to most of the social and financial woes faced by the common man and has come up with credible alternative policy. Finally someone who actually seems to comprehend and manipulate alternative policy rather then spew coffee shop rhetoric.

That bunch of morons that walked out should be blacklisted. Atrocious behaviour that is just pouring fuel on the flames of Opposition Infighting. Its bordering on ridiculous. I applaud the WP on standing above the fray, but their position seems more of Political Survival rather then to enact any actual change or effect in government, explaining their very neutered neutral presence in Parliament. That bunch of 9, 10 or 20 nimrods deserve no place in politics. Any Political Party that takes them in will be worst off and welcoming a Trojan Horse in their midst.

I honestly look forward to how the Reform Party is going to get better from this and i honestly wish KJ at least get into parliament to help make sense of all the economic hullaballoo the PAP throws at us.
